Ten Thousand Bullets is coming out...only five or six years late...
Well I just saw this on Facebook, so I had to laugh a little bit. Only five or six years after they first announced it, Ten Thousand Bullets looks like it might actually see the light of day. This was supposed to come out the same time as the D20 Modern
version of Haven: City of Violence
but it never did. It seemed to enter Development Hell and that was the last I heard about it. I was interested back then, but now it is just a interesting footnote in history to me of what NOT to do. Talk to you later...

[Nexodus: A House Divided] First sketch of the Emissary
When I made NeoExodus: A House Divided, I brought over the ideas and concepts of the Painted Man and Lawgiver from other fantasy ideas I had coming up with. Out of them I created Kaga. Kaga fit really well in the setting and I loved what it represented. But I while back, I thought about how Kaga should have a direct opponent to oppose what it stands for. And with that I came up with the Emissary. I finally got the artist to start working on sketches for the Emissary. This sketch is rough, but you can see this character has a lot of Asian / East Indian influence to it. The final image will not have swords; she has a lot of levels in monk so her best weapons are her hands and feet. I can't wait to see the final version. Talk to you later...

Should the Obsidian Twilight RPG be 100% OGL/D20 Open Content?
While working on Obsidian Twilight recently I have had in the back of my mind, “Why don’t I make this 100% completely OGL/D20 Open Content?” For some reason it keeps popping back in the front of my mind over and over. When I first created Obsidian Twilight I wanted it to be a LPJ Design project with some open content. But now, the more I think about it I think it might be better to make it completely 100% completely OGL/D20 Open Content. I like the concept of doing Obsidian Twilight as a one-off campaign setting RPG, but I really don’t want to build and support it as a completely new product line. That would take up a lot of time that I really don’t have. Plus, I am sure there are a lot of Ravenloft and Dark Sun fans would love to have a D20 / OGL setting readily available so they could place their material into and even better sell products for it. If you have an opinion on this either for or against, comment directly to this post. Thanks for all your help! Talk to you later…

Eberron plus Spelljammers equals…
I mentioned this in a Twitter post so I thought I might talk about it here. I have been mashing up ideas, genres and setting of late. Just a little exercise that I have come to do that helps me strengthen my creative muscles. So I thought it might be cool if you see the latest mash-up collection I have put together:
Eberron + Spelljammer = Pirates of the Bronze Sky
Straying from the “standard' Western European flavor used in many other OGL settings Pirates of the Bronze Sky takes place in a setting based in "Bronze Sky", a fantasy version of a world of pulp action and fantasy noir, where the inhabitants make extensive use of magic in place of technology to create special flying sailing ships. Fantasy versions of zeppelin, sky pirates, airships, and even mechanical men called Bronze Men are common in place of traditional knights in shining armor.
Thank you Wikipedia.com. What would I do without you? Pulp, pirates, danger and flying ships. The quintessential definition of what is classic cool. Talk to you later…

The end of the D20 logo...
With this announcement: HERE it looks like it is the end of the D20 logo that we all have been using. So what will be done? How will we be able to identify our D20 / OGL products? Don't worry, I have a plan to answer that and unify us all. Talk to you later...

Expanding LPJ Design, Step 1
With all the changes coming to 4th Edition of D20, I have decided now is the best time to think about and actually act on expanding the company; Louis Porter Jr. Design, into several new and different directions including Devil's Playground (Our PDF Board game division I have been working on) and Enemy One Entertainment (A secret to be announced later). I have been doing the PDF thing long enough to know that it is not going to last forever so now would be the time to expand into other profitable money making ventures. I would like to have a TOTAL GAMING EMPIRE that includes video games, computer games, toys and everything else. But to do that I have to expand into different areas. Looking at the future is very important in any business the problem is that most can't do that because they are working so hard just to stay afloat. So now is the time for me to change. Wish me luck. Taking a break...
I think I might take a couple weeks off in September and not release anything. Just take a little time off. I have increased our release schedule of late releasing 2 projects at a time an this has hype up the interest. But I think September we might only release one or two products and maybe start that new line of products for D20 and OGL. New line I say, what will it be? Let's just say this is one that everyone missed and when we release it everyone is going to go, "Oh my God! That is so obvious!" Talk to yo later...

Slow Day...
Today has been a slow day due to the fact I have been dealing with another personal issue. But I did complet the layout on the book shelf version of my D20 fantasy sourcebook, The Works of Shakespeare. This is a collection on my D20 Shakespeare series I did a while back. I looks like this book is going to be 52 page in length. I just need to get the cover together then off to print. Also I finished my character sheets for use with Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved book series. I am hoping to have then out by next week sometime. I am also waiting for the Covenant Purifier PrC for NeoExodus to come in from Owen. Then I have to assign the art work for this. I might go to the beach to get motivated. Talk to you later.
