My Alpha Flight limited series script...
A while back, when Marvel
and DC Comics
were still taking scripts from unknown writer I came up with and indea of doing a Alpha Flight
limited series script. The reason I picked Alpha Flight
was that they are such a CRAPPY team they could use a readly good reconcept from the ground up. I tied in the concept in to a VERY CRAPPY run on of Captain America
villian called Protocide. I have attached the free three pages of script dialoge that I wrote for the series. Enjoy!
PAGE 1 - Opening chase scene with McIntyre

You are looking at Clinton McIntyre formally known as Protocide, as if you are looking at him on a TV monitor, as he is running for his life in the back alleys streets of some urban metropolis. He has several chemical darts that are sticking in his skin as he looks panicked and afraid of this situation.
EPSILON SEVEN LEADER CAPTION:
Epsilon Seven to Epsilon Five, we have the target on grid. Sector G 12. He’s moving fast.
EPSILON FIVE LEADER CAPTION:
Roger. We shot enough tranquilizers to stop two bull elephants and he shrugged it off like it was nothing. We have four operatives down. Three of them are in serious condition.
PANEL TWO
Medium Shot. Looking through a TV monitor, Clinton McIntyre is jumping over a chain link fence in the back alleyway.
EPSILON FIVE LEADER CAPTION:

MCINTYRE:
AARRGGHH!!
EPSILON THREE LEADER CAPTION:
Target engaged. Full spread.
EPSILON SEVEN LEADER CAPTION:
Epsilon One and Six converge on Three’s location and provide support. Three keep firing and press your advantage.
PANEL FIVE

Back from Baltimore…
Laura (DePuy) Martin - I have met Laura several times at MegaCon, so now she recognizes me. Always interesting to speaking to her about color theory and digital coloring in general. I have a secret “comic geek” crush on and her my wife thinks it is cute.
J. M. DeMatteis - I have been a fan of his works since I first started reading comics. It was a profound pleasure to meet him and he gave me some incredibly inspiration words about writing.
Kris Straub, Dave Kellett, Scott Kurtz and Brad Guigar from Half Pixel.com, Webcomics Weekly.com and Webcomics.com - All were all great guys to talk to. Brad is even funnier in person. Best of all, they all signed my copy of How to Create Webcomics. Real nice guys.
Jamal Igle - This was one of the big ones, because Jamal has actually read my Suicide Squad 8 page pitch I did and gave me great comments on it. We talked a while about comics, having children, what is it like to have Geoff Johns kill a character you created and lots of cool stuff. I hope to pitch him something that we could work together on. That would be great.
Jim Chueng - Told him that my wife had a crush on him and I loved his work. He told me that there "should be" an announcement about Young Avengers soon.
Matt Fraction - Really a nice and funny guy. For some reason I thought he might be an assclown. Very wrong about that. Lots of good writing information and inspiration. He gave me the best reason why he writes: “I have a 2 year old who needs to be feed.” Funny part of me talking to him, Brian Michael Bendis is his the booth behind him Fraction reading emails in his IPhone looking up to see what we were talking about.
Steve Ellis - Very cool time. Got his card and looks like we might be talking and doing some business together. Still very hush-hush and in beginning stages, but it is nice to know that he is really interested.
Like I said, a great con. Can’t wait until next year. Talk to you later…

Comic Book Writing and MegaCon
I have been working on a few comic book scripts to get ready for next weekend’s MegaCon to pitch to comic companies. I have actually completed:
- 8 page Doctor Doom script (For Marvel Comics)
- 8 page Lex Luthor script (For DC Comics)
- 8 page Suicide Squad/Easy Company script (For DC Comics)
- 23 page Suits script (For Independent comic companies)
And the scripts I have in progress are:
- 8 page Infinity Inc. script (For DC Comics)
- 8 page Deathstroke the Terminator script (For DC Comics)
- 8 page Lethal Legion script (For Marvel Comics)
- 8 page Twilight Inc. script (For Marvel Comics)
- 8 page Agents of SHIELD script (For Marvel Comics)
- 12 issue limited Series Alpha Flight pitch (For Marvel Comics)
- Regular series Invaders pitch (My Dream Project) (For Marvel Comics)
I think I can get two of these scripts ready by the con. As you can see I have a lot of different things for both Marvel and DC Comics. Chuck Dixon of Batman and Nightwing fame had already read the Doctor Doom script and liked it he said it was goo enough to submit. Jamal Igle gave me some great feedback on the Suicide Squad/Easy Company script. I was told that the basic comic writer needs to write at least 8 pages a day. I am coming close to that but doing all the research on characters and sotylines take up a lot of time. So wish me luck at MegaCon.
