Electronic Sales to Bookstores and (RPG Stores) from Dean Wesley Smith

For some reason this got deleted so I am placing it up again.

Here is a great idea from Dean Wesley Smith: Electronic Sales to Bookstores. Better yet, this idea can be used for RPG publishers who want to get their PDF material to more customers.  I placed this up on my personal Facebook page and LPJ Design Facebook page, Friend and retailer Gary Ray from Black Diamond Games said "I would sell that," and with that I am already on the phone making calls to see what I need to make this happen. Also take a look at Enthrill eBook Distribution from some more ideas that you think you might be able to use.  Talk to you later...

  1. If a manufacturer wants a retailer to support this concept they need to ensure that there is value added in the eye of the end consumer in coming to the store to get the .pdf, the manufacturer protects the value of the products offered through other file sources, and works with the retailer as a partner instead of another website to host .pdf discount sales.

  2. I think the real issue is retailers need to support smaller publisher by getting their product in the store. This ePDF gift card might be the way to actually help BOTH sides of this business. This to me seem like a good way to get product into you store that could make a great percentage on these cards. Game Stop sells these type of gift cards that have added items or products for the main games they sell. Retailer need to look at this as some thing like how Game Stop looks at it.
