I think that would be a great idea. Especially that could run players across a lot of the setting and give them (and prospective GMs) a good feel for the different parts of the setting.
Also, if following that path, an appendix to each area that lists some hooks that could either bring players that are in that area and of the right level into the adventure path or hooks for other things that players both already on the adventure path and those not to do in the area.

definitely do something for this that way folks can play in the setting with the right flavor!
