Adventure Path Iconics: Lords of Undeath (PFRPG) Now available
Louis Porter Jr. Design, has released Adventure Path Iconics: Lords of Undeath for The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game at RPGNow.com and DriveThruRPG.com. Here is information on this product:
A dark star fell from the sky bringing with it the end of all things! The sanctity of the world known as Abaddon was shattered when a global apocalyptic event of a meteor impacting the planet causing a destructive ecological and eldritch change. Now there is no day or night, just never ending Apocalypse. Adventure Path Iconics: Lords of Undeath adds four new iconics based on the new races from Races of Obsidian Apocalypse: Flesh and Iron to the Obsidian Apocalypse campaign setting making the world even more interesting and just as dangerous. Are you willing to take up the fight?
Inside this book you will find you will find four new races for Races of Obsidian Apocalypse: Flesh and Iron:
- Promethean (Flesh and Clockwork): Prometheans suffer lingering mental effects from their creation rites. The flesh prometheans have a personality made from an amalgam of souls, cobbled together from various creatures. Clockwork prometheans have the luxury of a solitary mind, but the creation rites cause them as much torment as they do to their flesh-bound cousins.
- Raijin: When an outraged spirit of one slain by the undead lords of Abaddon possesses a survivor filled with desires for revenge, the two form a powerful and terrifying force, a raijin. A synergy of life and death, it can reach into the netherworld and manifest some powers of the dead in the physical world.
- Uzamati: The only uzamati trait that stands out in their normal form is the purple irises of their eyes. But, when an uzamati phases out, all semblance of normalcy disappears. They melt into pure negative energy, becoming twisted in the process: Their skin turns a deep purple and exudes a strong glow. Their bodies become slightly transparent and gaunt as a skeleton.
These iconic consist of:
- Alberdeen, Male uzamati magus
- Joa, Male flesh promethean barbarian
- Mixer, Asexual clockwork promethean alchemist
- Siriah, Female raijin cavalier

Campaign Setting with Toolkits
One of the more interesting things I discovered while
working on Obsidian Apocalypse, is that when you build a campaign work, you
never really know how people are going to use it to play their game. When we built Obsidian Twilight (the predecessor
to Obsidian Apocalypse), I thought of it as a zombie apocalypse setting but others
thought it was a post apocalypse good versus evil setting. While even more
thought that it would be more gothic / classic horror.
The reason is that people have their own interpretation of
the word “horror”. So that is why we
have a “generic” setting for Obsidian Apocalypse plus four custom toolkits that
you can make your own custom setting and people have really responded to it. So
I am wondering, is this something people would like to see campaign setting do
in the future: One main “generic” concept of the setting a several toolkits to
customize it any way that you might like to?
Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

Clinton Boomer, 31 Haunted Days and A Sword for Hire Interview…
A few months ago, I approached Clinton Boomer with working
with us due to the work he was doing his daily feats he was doing at his Tumblrsite. The work he was doing was AMAZING, and I had always wanted to work with him,
so I contacted him and he agreed. I thought it would be cool to do a full month
of horror focused feats, which he named 31 Haunted Days. So today started the
31 Haunted Days with a great feat of undead gunslingers. Best of all this even
and feats ties in perfectly with our Cross of Fire Saga adventure path kickstarter.
And keeping in tune with our kickstarter, the blog site, ASword for Hire interviewed us on our Cross of Fire Saga adventure path kickstarter. So if
you are interested in learning a little behind the scenes stuff, go over and
check it out. It will be VERY informative. Talk to you later…

T minus 28 Days until the start of the Cross of Fire Saga Adventure Path Kickstarter for Pathfinder
The time is ticking down for the start of this all new and exciting kickstarter, the Cross of Fire Saga Adventure Path for Pathfinder Role Playing Game. To start you off on the right foot, we are going to talk about the first adventure in the Cross of Fire Saga Adventure Path written by LPJ Design very own Jeff Lee.
PART 0: LONG WAY HOME
Hurled Into Endless Night
Seeking potent magic in the hands of an insane entity, accomplished adventurers find themselves transported to the bleak wasteland of Abaddon. As they explore their new surroundings, they must encounter a host of new terrors and determine whether to save a desperate caravan of nomads. Can adventurers save them, and can their weary new allies help them find a reliable way home?
The Long Way Home is an adventure for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. The story and encounters are the first episode of the Cross of Fire Saga Adventure Path, but can also be played as a standalone adventure with light modification. The module includes a brief history of the Cross of Fire, an introduction to the world of Abaddon, and a powerful new curse. Characters should take up the adventure approximately halfway through 8th level. If they survive their first nights on Abaddon, they should reach 9th level by the adventure’s conclusion.
As you can see this will be a great starting point for you to understand the world of Abaddon and the Obsidian Apocalypse campaign setting in general. Fans of Pathfinder and the horror genre in general will find the Cross of Fire Saga Adventure Path not only to be fun and exciting it will be revolutionary to what they are normally use to see. Talk to you later…

Cross of Fire Saga – The adventure BEFORE the adventure…
I originally conceived Cross of Fire as a 4-part adventure
path, but as I continued working and developing on it I noticed that I need to
add an additional adventure at the end to of the adventure path to [REDACTED].
But then I kept thinking about how to start this adventure path, since really most
people accidently wind up in the Obsidian Apocalypse setting. So with that, we
needed a side trek / mini-adventure to make it easier for them to transition to
the setting and give them a taste of the setting. And out of that can the adventure
path side trek / pre-adventure, “Long Way Home”. I created an light outline for
them for the writers and editors to see where I am planning to go, but it is
still lose enough for the writer to add their own flair to the adventure.
Long Way Home: Level 8 – 9
- PCs arrive in the Obsidian Apocalypse setting and battle a [REDACTED] and save [REDACTED]
- Recover and get info about Obsidian Apocalypse setting from [REDACTED]
- [REDACTED] attack the PCs and a [REDACTED] happens.
- [REDACTED] [REDACTED] themselves and attack

Cross of Fire Saga - Inspiration for the Adventure Path
So I am working on the outline for the Cross of Fire Saga
Adventure Path and I keep getting stuck on what I want in the adventure and
what to expect from the people playing. So since I could not really get exactly
what I wanted I decided to do the one thing that helps a writer, I get
inspiration from better more qualified work.
So I thought about what type of stories I wanted each of the adventures
in their adventure path to tell and I went to movies / books that I thought
would help explain what I want. And with that, here is a breakdown of the books
/ movies we will be using for inspiration:
Part 1: Havoc of the Mind’s Eye – Inspired by the movie,
Brotherhood of the Wolf.
Part 2: Ravagers of the Shadow Black – Inspired by the book
& movie, Last of the Mohicans
Part 3: Raiders of the Cataclysm – Inspired by the Lord of the Flies
Part 4: Crusaders of the Cross of Fire – [REDACTED]
So now you see where I am coming from. Talk to you later…
