Driving Along and Talking about LPJ Design

D20pfsrd.com proves itself as adverting success story!

It looks like D20pfsrd.com advertising is a winner. We have had an increase of visitors to the LPJ Design website by over 900%.  I have to admit that shocked me in such a short amount of time, but looking at the numbers D20pfsrd.com release on their traffic it falls very much in line with theirs. As I said before, if these numbers continue then it looks like D20pfsrd.com may become a regular location for my advertising dollars. Only time will tell. Talk to you later…

Is LPJ Design Authentic?

Sounds like a silly question right? But is it really that silly or that simple to answer? I believe I am authentic. But what does that mean. Does it mean that LPJ Design is authentic with it relationship with our customers? How about with the games we design? How about the kickstarter projects we do? How about the things that influence us like films, books, animation, cartoons, comic books and whatever? What makes us authentic at LPJ Design is you know when we are being authentic and when we are faking it. Here is a full list of the product lines when have done:

Christmas with LPJ Design

Support the cause! Support 3rd Party Publishers of Pathfinder!

I completely understand that the world isn't fair. Some people are going to get more than others. It doesn't make it right, it just makes it reality.  But even knowing that the world isn't fair, it doesn’t stop me from doing something that other would consider insane and even silly. Like telling people when it comes to gaming, it doesn't matter if something is official, it only matter if it is good.   That’s right I said it. If the rules work, no matter who made them, just use them.  Even better, you have to remember every person who makes a 3rd Party product for use with Pathfinder IS SUPPORTING PATHFINDER. I believe most 3^rd Party Publishers (3PP) are like LPJ Design: They have amazing love of what Pathfinder is and want to make sure other people can enjoy it as much as they do.  Best off all we know that Paizo will not be able to or even want to cover every genre in fantasy in Pathfinder that people would like to see.  The people at Paizo are very busy and have to pick what is best for them in the long run. While at the same type we 3PPs can make the niche product that Pathfinder fans can find useful.  Better still, many of the people who make 3PP products have worked for Paizo in the past as a freelancer. So if you loved their creation when they worked for Paizo, why would you not love what they are doing as a 3PP?

So this weekend, while working on our upcoming kickstarter project, I came up with a few little banners that said it best about 3PP, Pathfinder and the fanbase.

[LPJ Design] Free RPG Day NeoExodus Adventure for Pathfinder RPG

Inspired by the actions of Jon Brazer Enterprise, LPJ Design has decided to start a Kickstarter.com project in the hopes to release a free NeoExodus: A House Divided adventure for Free RPG Day to be distributed to retail locations. This adventure; written by the LPJ Design creative designer, JP Chapleau with artwork from NeoExodus: A House Divided Campaign Book artists including Bruno Miguel Martins Balixa, Juan Diego DIanderas, Yama Orce; will be an introduction adventure to the world of Exodus and the campaign setting of NeoExodus.

Our goal is to reach $1,000 in funding with this kickstarter project which will make it possible for us to provide one free adventure in each Free RPG Day box. But we have also included additional higher threshold goals if we reach, will increase the amount of free copies we giveaway and also other rewards to the patrons of this project. We are going to have various award levels starting as low as $1 with additional Special “Locked” Awards which be “unlocked” a to receive unique rewards including naming specific locations in the adventure and even naming the special NPCs in the adventure themselves. We are planning to start this kickstarter project at the end of December and having it run until the beginning of February. Early Morning at LPJ Design

New LPJ Design website is up!

Well after weeks of work, we have the "soft" relaunch of the LPJ Design website. I will be making changes and adding material to the website over the next few weeks. Hope you enjoy!

Revamp of the LPJ Design website moves to Stage 2: Development

Well I have started the revamp on the website with getting the basic look and structure of the main page.  I want the site to be more modern and contemporary, will also looking more professional a site. I think this is a nice simple design will be better for me in the long term, as was the change of the LPJ Design logo.  Once this home page is done, I will work on what interior pages designs and what pages will go where. ReWorking the LPJ Design website...

At my real job, we have been re-doing our company website, which at the same time has gotten me motivated to updated the LPJDesign.com website.  The one big thing I am going to do with this new website is build a online store so I can sell PDFs directly from the website.  I really want to do different kinds of smaller cost (25 cents to 99 cent PDFs) and unique item PDFs that I can test on this site and if successful I will bring them over to RPGNow.com or Paizo.com.  Right now I have a list of pages that I plan to have on this new website: Homepage, About Us, Contact Us, Catalog, Online Store, Submissions, Retail Locator, Product Support, Gallery and Promotions (Web banner and etc). I am basing the design idea off of 960.gs. if you have never been to 960.gs you might want to check it out. I think you will find it very informative to good web graphic design.  So as I create this new website I will place thing up so you can take a look at what I am planning and to get your comments and critiques.  Talk to you later...
