So here is a project that I have been working on in silence over the last few month and I am finally revealing what it is. Ever since I say the ebook revolution happened, I wanted to be part of it and I know that NeoExodus would be at the forefront of it. So one of the original people who worked on the the first edition of NeoExodus, Joshua Cole , got in contact with me about doing it I decided now was the perfect time. In addition, we thought it would be best to get you all interested in what we were doing by give these story away on this blog for free. So Joshua and I developed an outline and we decided that this first story would be a three part ebook. So Joshua just sent us our first rough draft of the ebook and where have sent it to editing and we hope to have the first part of the ebook up very soon at this blog. So once again thanks for your support of what we are doing here. Talk to you later...

NeoExodus Novellas Fiction: Grand Theft Exodus Kickstarter Project
The NeoExodus Novellas project has the goal of starting a fiction line to support the NeoExodus: A House Divided role playing game line. The world of Exodus needs heroes. Suit up with your armor, gather your weapons and enter into the neo-fantasy world of danger and excitement with NeoExodus Novellas. NeoExodus Novellas is both a serial web fiction and official novels that expand the mesmerizing magical and fascinating would of the role playing setting of NeoExodus: A House Divided. For the first time the world of Exodus comes alive in stories of powerful arcane magic, conflicting mighty empires with political intrigue, where anyone can have a remarkable effect on the world. The NeoExodus Novellas series are standalone voyages and exploits written by fantasy's bestselling authors in the field. The first NeoExodus Novella will be written by the world famous fantasy writer, Robin D. Laws.
The project's main designer, Louis Porter Jr., has been involved in the RPG and entertainment industry for the last decade starting with the creation and development of Haven: City of Violence campaign setting, which is the only RPG to receive a movie option by Radical Comics owner, Barry Levine, before the setting was released. Louis Porter Jr over the last decade has release over 500 RPG related products in both the traditional brick and mortar retail store and the online PDF market. In addition, Robin D. Laws; who also wrote Paizo’s Pathfinder Tales: The Worldwound Gambit and Games Workshop’s Honour of the Grave, will be the head writer on this project. Porter and Laws hope the NoeExodus Novella can emulate the excitement and interest in this novella as the role playing game has done. To learn more about this project follower this link!

Countdown to NeoExodus: 40 Days...
We have always planned to do a Kickstarter project with NeoExodus. But deicding what that project was was always a tough decision. We have a lot of products that will work well with Kickstarter but it had to be the right project that we thought would also help expand NeoExodus to more people. So after much debate, we can up with a few that would work very well.
The first project we are working to do with kick started is the NeoExodus Novellas. These are short stories that we have planned to help expand the world of NeoExodus beyond the RPG campaign setting into the world of ebook and paperback book fantasy fiction. We have been in talks with Robin Laws to get this on off of the ground.
The second project we plan to use Kickstarter with is our Usual Suspects sourcebook. Similar to the NPC gallery that you can find in the GameMaster Guide by Paizo, This sourcebook would focus on NPCs for use specifically in your NeoExodus: A House Divided home games. Nobody likes building NPCs on the fly and with this sourcebook you will no longer have to.
Third and final, we would like to do my personal pet sourcebook for NeoExodus, Xao: Island of Iron and Silk. I have been working on this project for years behind the scenes. A homage to the Shaw Brothers Kung Fu flicks of the 70s and 80s influenced by such movies like the Kid with the Golden Arm and Five Deadly Venoms. While not focusing on 90s influence of wuxia, the Shaw Brothers film are the precursor and the "foundation" to the wuxia genre films in general. Lots of cool kung fu action for NeoExodus. Talk to you later...

If I am so busy, why isn't more of my work getting done...
The one thing that can be an issue with working as a PDF publisher, is how the "real world" interferes with my "business work". This in turn makes my life very busy which in turns means I don't get a lot of sleep. I used to only get 4.5 to 5 hours a day, but I have increased in to 6 hours now after having my son. Over the last few weeks I have been only getting 5 hours and it is finally starting to show on my face. Everyone who sees me lately is like, "Louis go take a nap." But with so much going on, it also is hard to organize what is going on. At least in my head. JP Chapleau has done a bunch of work that I need to look at including the NeoExodus Campaign book, Magic of the First Ones, and some other stuff I can't talk about. We also have several writers working on the new Legendary weapons of NeoExodus and with all this going on I have created a new advertising campaign for NeoExodus (see image in this blog) and have started developing a new product series of Pathfinder inspired by Steve over at Rite Publishing. Plus I have the NeoExodus Novella Kickstarter project to get ready and look for more artist (like always). Lots of balls in the air and I have to find a way to catch them all. Talk to you later...

Ideas for the NeoExodus Novella Kickstarter rewards
So last night I spoke to Robin D. Laws about the upcoming Kickstarter project, NeoExodus Novella. I gave him some additional information about the setting in the form our gazetteer for NeoExodus. We spoke a little bit about the type of story I wanted him to write, and what influences he could use to help with the feel of what I wanted from this project. At the end of the call, we both felt good about the project and what we wanted. He had his assignments and I has mine, and one of mine was to write up what rewards should we give out for this project. So I thought it would be best to start out to see what others have done use them as a basis. After a few hours I came up with the following rewards. While none of these are solid in stone, here are some ideas that I think will help people see what we think is reasonable. Take a second a see what you like, don't like or what we could do better. Any and all constructive input in welcome.
