OK NeoExodus fans, here are the changes I made to the history section of the updated NeoExodus: A House Divided Campaign Setting. Something that JP always tried to instill on me was the importance of the iconics. I agreed it was a good idea so we created them. And with that I deiced int he new version they would get a more visual importance so we added their images. What do you think Paizo fans?

And the review is in for Obsidian Apocalypse!!!
And for all the work we did on Obsidian Apocalypse from all the great names like JP Chapleau, Kalyna Conrad, Eric Hindley, Jeff Lee, Owen K.C. Stephens, Richard Pett, Rich Redman, Louis Porter Jr., James Desborough, Robert “Bob” E. Drouin, Wojciech “Drejk” Gruchala, Nick Herold, Sam Hing, Michael McCarthy, Jonathan Palmer and Richard Pett, I think this review is the most satisfying with this paragraph:
I was honestly skeptical when I backed the Kickstarter back in the day – and am thoroughly glad I did. I’m not kidding when I say that this is a whole new beast that rectifies just about all of the issues of its predecessor and adds vast amounts of awesomeness on top. My final verdict will clock in at 5 stars + seal of approval – and, since I didn’t manage to get the review done in time in 2013, this one now is a candidate for my Top Ten of 2014. If you’ll excuse me, I have an endtimes-scenario to plan…

Once again I have to thank everyone who supported us on this and all the people who worked it. This could not have been done without you.

T-minus 97 days until Free RPG Day 2013 kickstarter project…
Due to a great idea from Dale over at Jon Brazer Enterprise, LPJ Design
created our first Free RPG Day product, NeoExodus
Adventures: Undying Legacy of the First Ones using Kickstarter as our source to generate funds. This when off without a
hitch and people were happy to get more Pathfinder focused content for their
games. After that success we decided that we would be doing 2013 Free RPG Day
product release using Kickstarter again.
A few weeks ago, I placed up the countdown clock up on the blog and as
of today we are 97 days away from the start of our next Kickstarter attempt. JPChapleau and I have talked over roughly what we are looking for in this
adventure and what location in Exodus with this adventure will take place. All
I will say is that this adventure like Undying Legacy will be fun, exciting, entertaining,
engaging AND of course straight BAD ASS!!! So start saving your money so you
can support us on this 2nd go around on the Kickstarter wheel. Once
again thank you for your support. Talk to you later…

Cover for Usual Suspects
Here is the final cover for the upcoming NeoExodus Chronicles: Usual Suspects. The character on the front cover is an Arman Protectorate soldier, NOT the Arman Protectorate Peacekeeper. The Peacekeepers will have more of a Sanguine Covenant influenced look to them. This cover is really for JP, who has fallen in love with the Protectorate. Coming soon to your gaming table. Talk to you later...

Rough draft of Protectorate soldier
The final version will be going on the cover of the upcoming Usual Suspects NPC book for NeoExodus. Coming soon. I think JP Chapleau will like this. Talk to you later...

NeoExodus Legacies releasea an adventure this week, 5 more on deck
Due to all the hard work of JP Chapleau, we have five Organized Play NeoExodus: A House Divided Legacies adventures that need to go to the editor; and one that will be released later this week. This is something JP has been working on like a mad man for the last few months and I am sure he will be glad to see his hard work in the hands of all those Pathfinder Society and Pathfinder fans and those who like organized play campaigns.
This is LPJ Design first steps in entering the realm of other organized play campaigns like Living Greyhawk, Living Forgotten Realms, Living Arcanis and of course Pathfinder Society. Thanks for your support of LPJ Design and NeoExodus.

Usual Suspects rough layout test
As some of you may or may not know, that I have been working on a new layout for the full NeoExodus product line. This was a request that was made by our creative director JP, to make the products easier for GMs to read. The biggest issue that kept coming up was the stat block. So after several attempts, I have come up with something I am happy with that works well on the plain background (like in this image) or on out new upcoming (but unseen so far) background. So take a look at this rough layout and you will get a glimpse of what the future of NeoExodus is going to look like. Talk to you later...

JP might be right…I know it sounds scary right…
Last week, JP and I were talking about Obsidian Apocalypse
and he was giving me “feedback” on what he thought about it. (And when I say “feedback”
I mean JP was cursing me out, yelling and point at me and calling me stupid and
all kinds of names OR as all call it a typical Thursday.) After this “feedback” meeting, I took some of
his ideas to heart and I starter to work on them in rough draft form in my
head.
On Sunday while sitting down and making some notes of the Obsidian
Apocalypse setting, a little voice in my head asked me a very simple but
profound question: Why are you making this setting? My first answer was the typical one of want to
do another cool setting that people showed interest in. Then my little voice in my head asked me an
even better question: Why was I focusing
on Obsidian Apocalypse instead of NeoExodus?
And that is when it hit me like a ton of bricks. I think I was using Obsidian Apocalypse as a
distraction from my NeoExodus work. I
mean I have TONS of NeoExodus work to do, but I was placing all to the back
burners for Obsidian Apocalypse. While Obsidian Apocalypse is exciting because
it is the new shiny toy, NeoExodus is what I have been focusing on for five
plus years. Plus most importantly doe we
really need ANOTHER campaign setting for Pathfinder? I mean there are tons
coming out already for Pathfinder and no matter how exciting it will be, do I
really want to build a complete support system for another campaign world
setting? I barely have enough time for NeoExodus, why the hell do I think I
have enough time for
NeoExodus and Obsidian Apocalypse? So after all the thinking and contemplating,
I decided that it is best NOT to do Obsidian Apocalypse as a campaign setting.
I would be silly to a full blown setting for Obsidian Apocalypse.
But then the little voice in my head said (As you can see my
little voice is WAY TOO TALKITIVE) that since I have already paid for the
writing and artwork, instead of making an OK campaign setting, why don’t you
turn it into an AMAZING one of a kind adventure.
A kind of adventure that does homage to the original Ravenloft adventure where players get a taste of the setting with the adventure without all the
baggage of what a campaign setting must have.
And with that, Obsidian Apocalypse is NOW going to be an adventure. We
are still going to do the funding with kickstarter so all that says in play.
Better yet, if one of my conversation at the upcoming PaizoCon goes well, I
hope to announce that we be attaching a VERY WELL known name in the horror
genre for Pathfinder to this adventure.
I think this is the better move for Obsidian Apocalypse in
the long run. I am “planning” for this adventure to be between 32 to 48 pages in
length with fantastic new artwork. So be sad there will not be a Obsidian
Apocalypse campaign setting, BUT be VERY GLAD that we are going to do a
adventure that will go down in the legendary chronicles of Pathfinder
adventures. Once again thanks for your
support of us and this change.
Well I guess JP can be actually right, once and a while. But so it a broken clock. Talk to you later…

T-minus 2 weeks to PaizoCon...
I am very excited to say that in just two weeks I will be on my first trip to Seattle were I will get the opportunity to show off all of the coolness of LPJ Design, specifically NeoExodus, to a large group of Pathfinder fanatics at PaizoCon. I missed last year’s PaizonCon due to my wife’s cancer, but this year it looks like its all systems GO and I cannot wait. I have shipped off everything to Paizo for the con. My flight and hotel room have been confirmed and everything is looking good. I just have to put together one last sample book of what are plans are going to be with Obsidian Apocalypse. The best art of this will be the first time that JP and I are actually going to meet face to face. So expect high level of foolishness to come out of this.
Plus I will be talking to several freelancers about upcoming projects and I will be picking up a few things for me from the other 3PP there. Of course I will be talking to some of the member of Paizo for business issues (Liz Courts will be getting a few free drinks from me) and that VERY, VERY secret project that I would like to announce. So I am excited to go. Good times ahead. Talk to you later…

PaizoCon Countdown clock is now online
If you look to the right side of the web page, you will see countdown clock for PaizoCon 2012. This just forces me to work very hard to make sure that I hit the deadline dates that I have planned to make sure I make it to the con with everything done. So If you are going to PaizoCon 2012 stop by our both and say hi to me or JP Chapleau. Plus you never know what we might have for you. Talk to you later...

Business meeting with JP and Jonathan and you can guess how that went...
Had a Skype meeting with JP Chapleau & Jonathan Matthew Palmer. Talked over NeoExodus: A House Divided plans, which may include an adventure where we might be using Dreamscarred Press Psionic rules for. Plus we talked about our future plans including a definite partnership with two very well know 3PP of Pathfinder RPG by Paizo and one 3PP that is in the process of developing to something good. Plus I pitched my Headhunter class to them, and as expected JP started screaming. I guess I am on the right road then. Talk to you later...

NeoExodus arrives in Denver and begins its world domination!!!
So over at JP's blog, I got the good news that his copies of the NeoExodus: A House Divided Campaign Book have arrived to him in Denver. Lightning Source has published these quicker than I though and a cost that is very much in line with what I expected, even with the shipping. I know that JP will be selling copies of the books to local fans of NeoExodus and exposing local game stores to this amazing Pathfinder setting also. So with Denver as our first first location to take over the Pathfinder RPG world, we turn our eyes to our next location of domination. Maybe it will be the San Francisco area games stores (Yes Black Diamond Games we are looking at you!). Thanks to everyone on helping us get this product out to the Pathfinder fans! Talk to you later...
