More Cards come in and we talk about Kickstarter rewards!

Go recruiting for the Free RPG Day 2013 NeoExodus Adventure for Pathfinder RPG kickstarter and get rewarded!

On one of the websites or blogs focusing on kickstarter that I visit, someone suggested a new way they were using to gain new donors and reward donors for bring them in. I liked the idea so much I modified it and plan to use in in out upcoming kickstarter, what do you think about it?

Here is a great way to get some free stuff for helping make this kickstarter a success. If you back the Free RPG Day 2013 NeoExodus Adventure for Pathfinder RPG kickstarter at the Imperial Man-At-Arms ($35) level or higher and you recruit a new backer at Imperial Civilian ($20) or higher—have that backer contact me! If they confirm that you referred them to for this kickstarter, I’ll send you a $5 credit to use to purchase any of LPJ Design’s over 500+ PDF products.

Furthermore, if you recruit at least 5 new backers at the Imperial Man-At-Arms ($35) level or higher, I automatically bump your reward to the next reward level! For example, if you pledged Imperial Elder ($50) and got 5 new backers, you get the rewards of an Imperial Nobel ($65) backer.

Better still, if you recruit an additional 5 new backers at the Imperial Man-At-Arms ($35) level or higher, we will automatically increase your reward level by an additional reward level. So if you pledged Imperial Elder ($50), and recruited 10 backers at the Imperial Man-At-Arms ($35) level or higher, you get the rewards of an Imperial Aristocrat ($90) backer.

So, if you have friends in your local game group who haven’t jumped onto Free RPG Day 2013 NeoExodus Adventure for Pathfinder RPG kickstarter yet, now’s a great time.

Off to a good start with our Kickstarter for Free RPG Day…

Less than a day into the Free RPG Day 2013 NeoExodus Adventure for Pathfinder RPG kickstarter and we are already at 26%! As always thanks to your support of LPJ Design and 3rd Party Publisher of Pathfinder. So I wanted to send you the planned cover for this adventures, Temple of the Forbidden God, so you can get a look at it. Now this would not be a NeoExodus: A House Divided adventure if there wasn’t a deadly First Ones involved, introducing the newest face of evil, the Kobura Sobeka. The smallest of the First Ones, Kobura are a subrace of Sobeka bred for scouting and foraging. These small snakemen range ahead of every First One army, preparing the ground for more powerful creatures and assisting them via ambushes and surprise attacks. Outside of First One service, Kobura are nomadic predators, less organized but hardly less dangerous than their soldierly brethren. What do they have to do with the Temple of the Forgotten God? Guess you will have to wait and see.  Talk to you later…

New race idea for NeoExodus...

Since NeoExodus: A House Divided has the Machinesmith class, should we have a construct based race for the setting? I know many of you are think the Android from the Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Inner Sea Bestiary but I don't want to do something that is "so" sci-fi sounding, I mean this is a fantasy setting and there is a difference. Visually, I have a cool idea of what the race might look like (inspired from Warrhammer 40K Necrons) but building it to fit in a 10 RP build from the Advanced Race Guide is becoming an issue.  So I am opening it up to the fan base, what do you think about a construct race for NeoExodus? Tell us what you think! Talk to you later...

Updates to the Free RPG Day 2013 NeoExodus Adventure for Pathfinder RPG Kickstarter

With just two week until we start our all new Free RPG Day2013 NeoExodus Adventure for Pathfinder RPG Kickstarter we are adding-on some more interesting threshold goals from both monies raised AND number of donors. Not only do we give you cool stuff when we raise money BUT you also get great stuff when MORE people donate to this kickstarter. We want to get the word out with this year’s kickstarter and to make it an even biggest success than last year’s. Better still just to get you even MORE interested, here are the initial threshold goals for this kickstarter:
And here are the initial donor threshold goals for this kickstarter:

Now I know a few of you were reading those threshold goals and noticed that if we reach the $5,000 threshold goal, Eastern Front Studios  is going to make a miniature of the the NeoExodus Iconic, Milka Bronislaw -Human Machinesmith as a reward. That is right, LPJ Desing is “dipping its toe” in to the arena of RPG miniatures with Eastern Front Studios. And here is a little hint, the higher this kickstarter goes the more NeoExodus Iconics miniatures we will be adding to this kickstarter. So if you ever wanted to see any of the NeoExodus Iconics as miniatures for use in your home games of NeoExodus or NeoExodusLegacies, now is your chance! Just two weeks away and I wonder what other cool things can we add to this kickstarter rewards? I guess you will have to wait and see.  Talk to you later…

Changing the Xao main Logo…AGAIN!

So on Sunday I made a whole new logo for my upcoming (only 4 years into it) dream project, Xao: Island of Iron & Silk. But even after I finished it I was not happy with it (welcome to the world of graphic designers). So I did ANOTHER logo and I think I like this one EVEN more then the last one. So here we are with the all new NEW Xao: Island of Iron & Silk logo. Tell me what you think. Talk to you later...

[LPJ Design] NeoExodus Adventures: Origin of Man (PRPG) released

The Arman and the Nasians share a number of common traits. Both are taller than the human norm and share characteristically blonde hair. However, they live on opposite sides of the world of NeoExodus. One man thinks he holds the key to proving that both share common ancestry. All he requires is a group of adventurers to escort him.

Exodus boasts a turbulent history—from the rise of the Kaga to the defeat of the First Ones and the events of the Twilight War. From creation of the Imperial Alliance to the present crisis that threatens to tear that alliance apart. Great heroes and terrible villains drove its march, though even in hindsight the two are not always easily separated. Theirs were the titanic passions, the burning obsessions, and base treacheries in which modern Exodus was forged and tempered.

The world of Exodus needs heroes...

Inside this adventure you will find you'll need to embark on adventures in the exciting setting of NeoExodus: A House Divided. The Origin of Man adventure will serve as an adventure and showcase of the NeoExodus: A House Divided campaign setting and its unique differences from all the other gaming campaigns on the market. An adventure for 7th level characters for the Pathfinder Role Playing Game. The Origin of Man adventure was written by the former Pathfinder Society Denver Venture Captain and NeoExodus Creative Designer, J.P. Chapleau. Now Available at RPGNow!

[LPJ Design] Treasures of NeoExodus: Raindrop (PFRPG) Now available

Louis Porter Jr. Design has released its newest product for their Treasures of NeoExodus line, Raindrop for the NeoExodus: A House Divided (PFRPG) campaign setting at RPGNow.com and DriveThruRPG.com.  Here is information on this product:

The name of Varelina Fetema Sara was infamous among law enforcers and government officials throughout the Imperial Alliance. A human born to a gevet mother, she was a notorious spy. A gleaner of many secrets, she long evaded the pursuit of Protectorate Peacekeepers, Imperial men-at-arms, and even Janissaries. The many powerful figures preyed upon by Sara pointed fingers at the Dominion, the Phoenix Guard, and the Confederacy as the powers behind the spy’s activities. All have denied any connection to the woman. She may have worked for all or none of them. A few even claim she served the First Ones or Xon. Some wild rumors say that she still gathers information for the Isle of Silk and Iron in preparation for an invasion. Whatever the truth, part of the spy’s success was due to the properties of Raindrop, a powerful combined sword and shield disguised as a simple umbrella.

The Treasures of NeoExodus: Raindrop is created for use with your NeoExodus: A House Divided campaign setting home gaming for the Pathfinder RPG. The Treasures of NeoExodus series focus on creating unique and interesting magical and mundane items that you can use in your NeoExodus home games that give you more a personal connection to the item. This PDF comes with a background and history of Raindrop, its special mundane and/or magical qualities plus magic item containing detailed information and blank versions of the cards. Everything you need to incorporate Raindrop into your character’s background and your gaming sessions is here making them even more appealing, special and personal. Available at RPGNow!

Changing the Xao main Logo…

I have been working on Xao: Island of Iron and Silk for several years and the one thing that has never come out the way IO have liked is the main logo for Xao.  Well this morning I was inspired so I sat down and started work on redesign the logo and a few hours later I came up with this all new logo. While drawing inspiration from the original logo I added a few elements that give it more on an Asian aesthetic to it.  So what do you think about this newest one? Let me hear your opinion on this.

D20pfsrd.com and Google analytics

Since advertising with D20pfsrd.com I have been looking deeper into Google Analytics to get the real store of the LPJ Design website specifically our NeoExodus page.  As I told you, we have had an impressive increase of traffic to our site in the multiple of 7 to 10 times what I normally get, better still over 80% of that traffic is NEW visitor from people who have never been to our site. Now that is where this gets me very interested. NEW people who have never seen my site is who want I want to come to my site.  Introducing more new people to NeoExodus only helps make it a bigger success.

Also with that people who come to the site normally look at 3 pages on average, so not only are they coming but they are interested enough to look around to see what else we have. All this tells me is that D20pfsrd is the RIGHT place we need to be advertising on to get the message out to Pathfinder player and fans who might not heard about us. What I also find interesting that less than 10% of the traffic we are getting is mobile traffic.  That is something that we might be missing the boat on and might have to build an agenda on how to increase those numbers.  I guess I have time to do it.

With all this said I thing this advertising strategy is going to be very valuable when we start up out latest Temple of the Forbidden God Kickstarter for Free RPG Day 2013. If the traffic continues in this way I think this might be the biggest reason for the kickstarters success. Only time will tell but as I have said before I like what I see so far. Talk to you later…

Xao is back in my mind again, so now you have to hear about it…

So as always I am in the background thinking about new projects and the one project that I love comes back to the forefront of my mind and that is Xao: Island of Iron and Silk. For those who don’t know what Xao: Island of Iron and Silk is, then read these blog post.  So I have been thinking about the main monsters / races again (P’Tansha – light based P’Tan; stone monkey men; Khaynite hybrids; and more) and of course the idea of new feats for the setting came up. Originally I decide to grab feats from other 3.5 OGL sources (when I started this it was going to be 3.5 OGL) and pulled out all the feats that I thought would work in the setting. Years later I have been going through those feats removing and adding them and I think I am to a place where I am going to send them to our mechanics people and get the gaming mechanics more in line for Pathfinder. But on top of that I am thinking about releasing everything I have for Xao in its rough, unformatted, unedited format to let people kick the tires and see where I am going with this in it RAW format.  After seeing the response from what we did with the Machinesmith and the interaction I wanted to try it again with a bigger project.  So if you want to see Xao and better yet what to help building it, send me a comment here and we will see what we can do. Talk to you later…

Our 2nd Kickstarter, Origin of Man, is 95% done!

While later that I wanted I am glad to say that out 2nd successful Kickstarter, NeoExodus Adventure: Origin of Man for Pathfinder RPG is 95% done and expect to see it released for they patrons this week and sale to the general Pathfinder fan base by the end of the month.  Our Creative Director JP Chapleau goes wild in this adventure. Here is the write up for Origin of Man:

The Arman and the Nasians share a number of common traits. Both are taller than the human norm and share characteristically blonde hair. However, they live on opposite sides of the world of NeoExodus. One man thinks he holds the key to proving that both share common ancestry. All he requires is a group of adventurers to escort him. An adventure for 7th level characters.

Hey, what is the worst that can happen. Once again, thanks to all the patrons that supported this Kickstarter and we hope to do many more in the future.  Talk to you later…

D20pfsrd.com proves itself as adverting success story!

It looks like D20pfsrd.com advertising is a winner. We have had an increase of visitors to the LPJ Design website by over 900%.  I have to admit that shocked me in such a short amount of time, but looking at the numbers D20pfsrd.com release on their traffic it falls very much in line with theirs. As I said before, if these numbers continue then it looks like D20pfsrd.com may become a regular location for my advertising dollars. Only time will tell. Talk to you later…

Transparency Agenda #001: Advertising with D20PFSRD.com

[LPJ Design] Heroes of NeoExodus: Chanda Kesin (PFRPG) now available

Louis Porter Jr. Design has released its newest supplement line for d20 fantasy punk setting, NeoExodus: A House Divided.  Here is information on Heroes of NeoExodus: Chanda Kesin (PFRPG):

Chanda’s precise origins are unclear. She was born to one of the many tribes of barbarians that fight for survival against calibans and enukas. There, she learned the art of battle from a very young age and grew to become a fearsome warrior. How she went from being a simply warrior is the source of a lot of debate, however most agree that dark forces one day came in and destroyed her village and her people. The anger she felt turned her into something must greater than most people ever experience. She became vengeance incarnate.
