[LPJ Design] Treasures of NeoExodus: Hellfrost Hammer (PFRPG) Now available

Louis Porter Jr. Design has released its newest product for their Treasures of NeoExodus line, Hellfrost Hammer for the NeoExodus: A House Divided (PFRPG) campaign setting at RPGNow.com and DriveThruRPG.com.  Here is information on this product:

In 73 AU an undead terror led a savage band of humanoids and giants north out of the Ice Crags. Its horde breached the Sanguine Barrier and began a short but brutal reign of terror in the southernmost reaches of the Arman Protectorate. The undead leader of the warband wielded a mighty dark hammer infused with it the dread chill of the South, sapping both warmth and life from its victims. The monster and its followers ran rampant for several weeks until reinforcements arrived and finally brought the nightmare to an abrupt end. Though the threat was put down years ago, the fear of the dread weapon and the creature that bore it is still fresh in the minds of the citizens that dwell near the southern frontier of the Protectorate.

The Treasures of NeoExodus: Hellfrost Hammer is created for use with your NeoExodus: A House Divided campaign setting home gaming for the Pathfinder RPG. The Treasures of NeoExodus series focus on creating unique and interesting magical and mundane items that you can use in your NeoExodus home games that give you more a personal connection to the item. This PDF comes with a background and history of the Hellfrost Hammer, its special mundane and/or magical qualities plus magic item containing detailed information and blank versions of the cards. Everything you need to incorporate the Hellfrost Hammer into your character’s background and your gaming sessions is here making them even more appealing, special and personal. Available at RPGNow!!

T-minus 97 days until Free RPG Day 2013 kickstarter project…

Due to a great idea from Dale over at Jon Brazer Enterprise, LPJ Design created our first Free RPG Day product,  NeoExodus Adventures: Undying Legacy of the First Ones using Kickstarter as our source to generate funds. This when off without a hitch and people were happy to get more Pathfinder focused content for their games. After that success we decided that we would be doing 2013 Free RPG Day product release using Kickstarter again.  A few weeks ago, I placed up the countdown clock up on the blog and as of today we are 97 days away from the start of our next Kickstarter attempt. JPChapleau and I have talked over roughly what we are looking for in this adventure and what location in Exodus with this adventure will take place. All I will say is that this adventure like Undying Legacy will be fun, exciting, entertaining, engaging AND of course straight BAD ASS!!! So start saving your money so you can support us on this 2nd go around on the Kickstarter wheel. Once again thank you for your support. Talk to you later…

Print-On-Demand Cards come in and Lucas knocks and comes in...

Even as the boss, I have to pitch ideas for adventures for NeoExodus…

While it might surprise a little of you that I have to pitch my adventure ideas to the other people at LPJ Design, it keep it honest (at least in my eyes) that we make things that people are interested in. So I have decided to pitch something that I have been working on and I wanted to get some feedback on what people though and what more could be done to make it more interesting.   Please remember, this is a ROUGH concept / idea pitch and nothing has been finalized, but this is how far I have gotten.

NEOEXODUS ADVENTURES: EXPEDITION TO THE TWILIGHT MONOLITH
The PC are asked by the Imperial Alliance to travel to Unthara where it was been reported a 10 feet x 10 feet x 10 feet black cube (which they refer to as a Twilight Monolith) has been discovered and it is believed to have a direct connection to the First Ones as a weapon mass destruction weapon.

Twilight Monolith has the TARDIS effect of being much larger on the inside then the outside and is a suspended animation warehouse for the First Ones with tens of thousands of Sobeka, Aneshi, Scythians and various other First One monster creations placed “on ice” ready to be revived for future battles and wars.  The Twilight Monolith is just one of dozens of hidden locations like it (unknown to all including the modern First Ones who have actually forgotten where these locations are -- ala the Russians and their missing nuclear weapons) created nearly 6,000 years ago.   The Twilight Monolith is a multi leveled location (over 100+ level) with 95% being for storage (virtually identical to each other) and the remaining 5% of operations of the Twilight Monolith (which the PC will explore and discover more about the First Ones).

Unusual items in the Twilight Monolith
·     First One version of a single person arcane connection construct (Taylos) similar to what Kaga is that controls and runs this Twilight Monolith. Talyos is an unknown race and is very old, virtually immortal and has been suffering in pain.

The Twilight Monolith’s Outer Shell
Twilight Monolith is covered in obsidian colored material that is highly reflective and all that come with it 5 feet of the Twilight Monolith it acts like a Mirror of Opposition but the reflection oppositions all appear like Exodites when they emerge from the mirror.  In addition The Twilight Monolith outer wall will not cause a reflection of character with either Chaotic or Evil alignment.  Those foolish enough to touch the Twilight Monolith will be affected by a mage’s disjunction (CL 25). In addition after touching it, all with it 60 feet of the Twilight Monolith are affected by a prismatic spray (CL 25) also the Mirror of Opposition effect will come into effect.

The only way to creating an opening at the Twilight Monolith is with the use of the Exodite Talon Glove.

Surrounding the Twilight Monolith
Surrounding the Twilight Monolith are hundreds of broken and destroyed equipment and weapons and skeletal remaining and decaying bodies of varying type, races and time periods.  These of course are the victims of the trap of the Twilight Monolith outer shell.  While the majority of the equipment and weapon have been destroyed there are four items that are still functioning.   I have not decide what those items are yet.

VIP NPCs
  • Talyos

New Monsters
  • XXXXXXX Mongrel
  • Monolith Gatekeeper (Constructs)
  • Selachi AKA Sea Devils

So what do think so far? Are you even interested in seeing more?  Talk to you later…

[LPJ Design] Treasures of NeoExodus: Helm of the Communal Mind (PFRPG) Now available

Louis Porter Jr. Design has released its newest product for their Treasures of NeoExodus line, Helm of the Communal Mind for the NeoExodus: A House Divided (PFRPG) campaign setting at RPGNow.com and DriveThruRPG.com. Here is information on this product:

In 489 BU the Nexus Gateway in Qijom spontaneously opened and a battle from another world spilled over into Exodus. The warriors on one side wore unique helms, completely devoid of visors or eye slits, they provided magical senses to their wearers while shielding them from the primary attack of their quarry: a medusa. These helms were eventually copied and built by the Wyrdcasters of the Dominion. In recent years Section Omega took an interest in these helms and acquired one for study. They were able to reproduce the effects using psionics.

The Treasures of NeoExodus: Helm of the Communal Mind is created for use with your NeoExodus: A House Divided campaign setting home gaming for the Pathfinder RPG. The Treasures of NeoExodus series focus on creating unique and interesting magical and mundane items that you can use in your NeoExodus home games that give you more a personal connection to the item. This PDF comes with a background and history of the Helm of the Communal Mind, its special mundane and/or magical qualities plus magic item containing detailed information and blank versions of the cards. Cover for Usual Suspects

Here is the final cover for the upcoming NeoExodus Chronicles: Usual Suspects. The character on the front cover is an Arman Protectorate soldier, NOT the Arman Protectorate Peacekeeper. The Peacekeepers will have more of a Sanguine Covenant influenced look to them.  This cover is really for JP, who has fallen in love with the Protectorate. Coming soon to your gaming table. Talk to you later...

[LPJ Design] Treasures of NeoExodus: Protectorate Twilight Bow (PFRPG) Now available

Louis Porter Jr. Design has released its newest product for their Treasures of NeoExodus line, Protectorate Twilight Bow for the NeoExodus: A House Divided (PFRPG) campaign setting at RPGNow.com and DriveThruRPG.com. Here is information on this product:

Not every weapon is created with the individual in mind. In the modern world of Exodus many weapons are built with the intent of mass production to fuel the march of war. Thus it was with the Protectorate Twilight Bow. A weapon built with massive battles with Dominion forces in mind, its overwhelming cost and difficulty in manufacture made it a laughable example of bad military spending.

The Treasures of NeoExodus: Protectorate Twilight Bow is created for use with your NeoExodus: A House Divided campaign setting home gaming for the Pathfinder RPG. The Treasures of NeoExodus series focus on creating unique and interesting magical and mundane items that you can use in your NeoExodus home games that give you more a personal connection to the item. This PDF comes with a background and history of the Protectorate Twilight Bow, its special mundane and/or magical qualities plus magic item containing detailed information and blank versions of the cards. Everything you need to incorporate Protectorate Twilight Bow into your character’s background and your gaming sessions is here making them even more appealing, special and personal. Review and Playtest our Cerebral Assassin monster

We are currently working on a revamping our classic NeoExodus Campaign setting monster, the Cerebral Assassin. This concept was originally influenced by non-OGL Mind Flayer and while we love the Mind Flayer we feel the Cerebral Assassin in not unique enough in comparison. Based on the reviews and comments of the original monster, we at LPJ Design though it would be best to just release the original release of the monster and get some feedback from the Pathfinder fan base on changes / modification / adaptations. We want to hear from you on what we have done correct and what have we done VERY wrong, so please feel free to comment, in great detail if needed, in these thread. Enjoy!

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Mind Static (Su): As a standard action, a cerebral assassin can unleash a 30 foot radius burst of mental energy which assails anyone within range with a haze of random thoughts which cloud the victim’s mind. Those who have endured such an attack describe the effect as if hearing a cacophony of voices all drilling directly into their mind. Any creature within the burst must make a DC 21 Will save or be dazed for 2d4 rounds. This is a mind-affecting effect.

Mind Blast (Su): Once every four rounds, a cerebral assassin can target a single creature within 30 feet that is currently under the effects of its mind static ability. If the targeted creature fails a DC 19 Will save, its mind is utterly destroyed, killing the creature instantly. This is a death effect. Those making the save are instead confused for 1d4 rounds. Using this ability is a full round action which provokes attacks of opportunity. Creatures that are immune to mind-affecting effects, stunning, paralysis or death effects are likewise immune to this effect. Any creature without an Intelligence score is immune to this effect.

Grab (Ex): If a cerebral assassin successfully hits with a bite attack, it deals normal damage normally and then may attempt to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity (see the Pathfinder RPG Universal Monster Rules). A cerebral assassin can use its grab ability on any creature that is medium-size or smaller.
Telepathy (Su): A cerebral assassin can communicate telepathically with any other creature within 100 feet that has a language.

Combat
In combat a cerebral assassin always targets enemy spellcasters first whenever possible. This unexplained hatred of sorcerers and wizards drives them to attack these foes relentlessly. Cerebral assassins are clever adversaries who often set elaborate traps or attack their enemies from a safe distance. The cerebral assassin is perhaps most dangerous, however, when it can get close enough to employ its mind blast ability.

Louis Porter Jr. Design has released its newest product for their Treasures of NeoExodus line, Oathbreaker for the NeoExodus: A House Divided (PFRPG) campaign setting at RPGNow.com and DriveThruRPG.com. Here is information on this product:

Oathbreaker is a guisarme notorious among the leaders and great scholars of the Sanguine Lord’s church. Print On Demand Card Decks coming to RPGNow & DriveThruRPG!

As I am sure most of you may not know this but One BookShelf  / RPGNow / DriveThruRPG just announced yesterday that they will now be able to do Print-On-Demand (POD) card decks starting in January. You heard it right, we at LPJ are now going to be able to do card deck of our already successful Ultimate Spell Deck lines. On top of that, the rest of our PDF Decks will be getting the POD treatment.  So get your money ready for the TONS of new POD decks we will be putting out.

Plus best of all for us at LPJ Design, this new service will make it possible for us to create our extremely long time in development educational card game, Grammar: The Sentence Creation Card Game, and print it to the gaming market as an actual deck of cards.  I think this is a great move into helping small publishers become more profitable.
