Busy, busy and more busy...

I have been working very hard to get products out for the Fantasyscape line. I am really having a lot fun working on these. I have a BIG announcement about the line that I am going to make on Monday. With this announcement I will be "changing the game" again. I think Seth Godin was right with his blog topic, Three things you need if you want more customers. This announcement is based off of the ideas presented. This one is going to sell like hotcake! Talk to you later...

Vaporware: Razor Coast

I hate when I see something interesting and I can't get it when I see it. It drive me crazy. Razor Coast is one of those projects.

(PS: I have done the same thing to the fans of Obsidian Twilight, but that is a rant for another day. Now we are talking about my issues.)

I heard about what this was and I got interested. I heard Nick Logue was handling it, and I got even more interested. BUT this project has been suffering from vaporware. Now, I know Nick is now in a new foriegn country, has a new job and in very busy realigning his life, BUT come on!!!! This looks cool as hell and I want to give you money for it. Don't leave me hanging too long on this. Yes Nick I am calling you out! Talk to you later...

Comic Book Writing and MegaCon

I have been working on a few comic book scripts to get ready for next weekend’s MegaCon to pitch to comic companies. I have actually completed:

  • 8 page Doctor Doom script (For Marvel Comics)
  • 8 page Lex Luthor script (For DC Comics)
  • 8 page Suicide Squad/Easy Company script (For DC Comics)
  • 23 page Suits script (For Independent comic companies)

And the scripts I have in progress are:

I think I can get two of these scripts ready by the con. As you can see I have a lot of different things for both Marvel and DC Comics. Chuck Dixon of Batman and Nightwing fame had already read the Doctor Doom script and liked it he said it was goo enough to submit. Jamal Igle gave me some great feedback on the Suicide Squad/Easy Company script. I was told that the basic comic writer needs to write at least 8 pages a day. I am coming close to that but doing all the research on characters and sotylines take up a lot of time. So wish me luck at MegaCon.

Have you seen this??? My Blog speaks for me!

This is something I just discovered and I think will be of interest to people with blogs. As you can see I am using it. Maybe you should too. Enjoy!

Martini Shot

There is a website I go to on a weekly basis that has a short podcast series called Martini Shot that talks about what it is like to work in Hollywood from a writers perspective. Rob Long hosts the show and every week (just about) you get a very SCARY (at least to me) insight of Hollywood and how they think. I find the podcast to be incredibly interesting while at the same time being some of the funniest stories you will ever hear. If you are serious about writing and want to work in Hollywood some day, you might want to take a listen, you will be glad you did. Talk to you later...

Inglourious Basterds Teaser Trailer

I have a buddy I used to work with at Macy's who was a Quentin Tarantino fan of no equal. I think he would have had his baby if he could. He talked me about this movie 4 years ago and finally they have a trailer for Inglourious Basterds. Enjoy!

My first love...

My first love will always be comic books. I have been a collector for nearly 30 years and love just about everything to do with them. I have been involved with comic books and comic book collecting longer than anything else in my life except eating, sleeping, going to the bathroom, watching TV and wasting time. I had planned to start this year with my weekly online come strip, Suits. Suits is an original comic series that I came up with on the concept of, "Why do super heroes wear silly looking costumes in public?" It is the kind of book I would want to see in DC Comics' Vertigo line or Marvel's Max line. Very adult and very edgy. The image is the first panel of the series and really sets the tone of what I am looking to create with this series. Now with me losing my job in December, that little event kind of killed this process. So until I get a new job (Wish me luck I have a very important interview on Wednesday) Suits with just be an unfulfilled dream. But don't worry, I will be releasing it. Someday. Talk to you later...

[Obsidian Twilight] Damned 6th Race...

I am still working on Obsidian Twilight's 6th race and it is driving me mad. I didn't have this problem when I was working on the race for NeoExodus: A House Divided, but Obsidian Twilight is starting to piss me off. I hate making the same old races you see all the time in fantyasy setting. (No one need to see another Elf in any way shape of form!) I normally like to think of a good concept and let it go, but this time it is not coming to me. People on the patron list have come up with some good ideas, but I am not feeling it. I don't know what it is but something has to come up. I am using our Race Creation Cookbook to come up with the stats for the races so they are balanced but I just need a really good race for people to play and enjoy. Back to the salt mine. Talk to you later...

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Cover! Behold!

Here it is!!! I think I am going to like the Pathfinder years. Now if they will put out their OGL we could start making some more fun products. Talk to you later...

WTF??? Mickey Rourke is NOT Crimson Dynamo

Read about it here!!!

Macy's to close Miami HQ, cut 600 jobs

Read about it here. Now why is this important? Well, I used to work there. It is where I had the greatest boss of all times and a lot of great friends. I left in 2006, but I still kept in touch with a lot of people. As of April, they will be without a job. Just like me now. This economy REALLY sucks!

Now you can play HBO's OZ in your fantasy setting...

I always wondered why no one ever did a prison tile set, now I wonder no longer. Shadow Maul Prison tile set has over 40 tiles and will be going on sale at RPGNow and Paizo very soon. There is also Shrine of the Demon Queen, Shadow Maul Sewers and Details of Doom that is in the pipeline, so you can see that we are supporting this Fantasyscape line very seriously. So if you are looking to add gaming tiles to you games, give Fantasyscape try. You might like htem. Talk to you later...
